Today on this day back in 1966, my parents, Bill and Pamela Britt, drove through a blinding blizzard from their home in tiny Aberdeen, MS to the county seat of Amory. I'm sure they would say that since then, nothing has been the same.

If I were a girl, which I wasn't, I was to be named Kimberly Lee. If I were a boy, I was to be named David Moore. For those following along, you'll notice that I'm not named David Moore Britt. When I was born, my parents decided that I didn't look like a David, so they named me Brian Leigh Britt.
Twenty-three hours after that name was entered on the birth certificate and one hour before it was official, Dad spoke up and the spelling changed to Bryan Lee. Thank you, Dad.
